Whilst other Ride On Toys may be content with going backwards and forwards or side to side, the unlimited directional movement offered by the Wheelybug means that the rider can add ‘round and round’ to their fun filled journey.

Wheelybugs can be ridden, pushed, pulled, kissed and cuddled! These colourful ride on bugs, great for both boys and girls, almost have a magical mind of their own. They are designed to offer hours of robust fun and help to promote self-confidence, spatial awareness and gross motor skills.

Wheelybug bodies have a padded layer of sponge which is covered with a tough layer of polyurethane leatheroid and can be easily wiped clean. They are great to use on smooth level floors and ideal for indoors.

What is a Wheelybug?

A Wheelybug is a multi-directional robust ride on toy that will offer hours of fun, promote self-confidence, spatial awareness and gross motorskills.

How much can it carry, can I sit on it?

The maximum recommended rider weight is 25kg or 50lbs.

Can they be used outside?

Any smooth, flat surface is suitable. However keep them away from dirt or sand as this can get into the castors and slow them down. Also do not leave the toy outside in the rain or direct sunshine for long periods as this can damage the surfaces.

Can they be used on pavements?

They will run on pavements provided the surface is smooth and without impediments. The castors may become damaged in time and/or wear out more rapidly. Don’t worry, replacements can be purchased from us.

Will they run on carpet?

Obviously it is slower going on carpet, but your child will get a good work out!

How do I look after my Wheelybug?

A wipe down of the covering with diluted Eucalyptus oil ( 10 parts water to one part Eucalyptus oil ) on a regular basis helps keep the PU covering pliable. Regularly clean casters from hair or other debris to ensure smooth running. Handle bolts should be checked for fastness regularly.

Will the plush covers fit an “original” Wheelybug?

Unfortunately the plush covers only fit the plush Wheelybug bodies. You can interchange different plush covers as much as you like.

What kind of warranty covers the Wheelybug?

12 months from purchase on manufacturing faults only. A manufacturing fault usually becomes apparent very quickly and we have very few of these. Excessive wear and tear due to misuse is not covered (e.g. if the casters wear out because the Wheelybug is used on rough surfaces, if your pet damages the cover, if the Wheelybug is left in the rain or too close to a radiator.....)

What are the do’s and dont’s for Wheelybugs?

1. Children should only use the toy under adult supervision
2. For use only by children able to walk unassisted. Should not be used as an aid or support for walking
3. Ride on toys can tip over on surfaces that are not flat. The toy should be used only on smooth, level, dry surfaces
4. Do not allow children to use on or near hills, inclines, steps, bridges or near a swimming pool or other body of water
5. Shoes must be worn at all times
6. Only one rider at a time. Multiple riders can cause tipping over
7. Do not allow a child to stand on the seat. The Wheelbug should be ridden with both feet on the ground
8. It is important to check that the handle and wheel bolts are tight before using the toy. A loose or detached handle or wheel can make the toy unstable
9. Maximum rider weight recommended is 25kg or 50lbs
10. Clean with soap and water, protect with diluted Eucalypt oil. Never use polishes, abrasive cleaners or steel wool. Strong solvents eg acetone, can damage the surface. Exposure to sunlight for long periods can result in colour fading. Don’t leave out in the open. Keep sharp points away from the covering

Please allow us up to 10 days from receipt of item for your refund to be processed. It will often be quicker than this but we want to manage your expectations at busier times of the year.

You may return an item to us for an exchange or refund providing that:

You return the item to us within 28 days of receiving your order
The goods are re-saleable, unused and in their original packaging with all tags and labels intact
If any item is incorrect, faulty or damaged on receipt, please complete the Returns Request form and one of the team will aim to be in contact within 1 working day

We cannot accept your return if:

The returns request form on our website has not been completed and one of our team has not authorised your return.
Your item/s is a piece of clothing that has been laundered in a manner other than the recommended instructions
Your item/s is anything from our bedding protection or Dream Tube range that has had its original packaging opened

Please note that Hippychick Ltd is unable to pay for the cost of returning goods. We cannot accept responsibility for returned items which do not reach us. Therefore, we recommend that you send returns via a tracked service of your choice, retaining your proof of postage. This returns policy is in addition to your Statutory rights.

Preloved Returns

We will only accept returns of preloved items if they are delivered in a condition that was not specified on the original preloved product listing.

This must be reported to us within 48hrs of receipt of the order and then items must be returned to us within 28 days of receiving the order.

Shipping
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item unless pre approved by Hippychick Ltd. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

For UK orders, depending on the weight and size of your order, deliveries are despatched either via Royal Mail or with a courier.
