Unlike crinkly or bulky bed covers, our Fitted Waterproof Mattress Protector is soft and comfortable to sleep on. It fits over your mattress just like a regular fitted sheet, making it easy to put on and take off for washing.

How Does the Waterproof Mattress Protector Work?
Our mattress protector is designed to create a protective barrier that keeps your mattress safe from spills, accidents and everyday moisture without compromising on comfort. At its core, it works using a two-layer system:
1. A Soft, Comfortable Surface
The top layer is typically made from cotton or a cotton-rich fabric. This ensures the protector feels soft, breathable and comfortable to sleep on just like a regular fitted sheet.
2. A Hidden Waterproof Membrane
Beneath the surface sits a thin, waterproof layer that prevents liquids from passing through to the mattress. This layer is designed to block moisture while still allowing air to circulate.
Unlike older-style waterproof protectors that used thick plastic (which could feel hot, noisy and uncomfortable), modern designs use advanced materials that are both waterproof and breathable.
This means you stay dry without overheating, and the mattress remains fully protected without that crinkly, plastic feel.
Care Instructions
The Hippychick Waterproof Fitted Mattress Protector – Fitted Cotton can be machine washed at 60°C.
Do not use a biological detergent or fabric conditioner when washing as this will break down the waterproof membrane and affect the performance of the sheet.
Tumble dry on a low heat setting or hang out to air dry.
Not suitable, or necessary, to iron.
