The Hippychick TENCEL™ mattress protectors are high quality, discreet, 100% waterproof and have to be seen and touched to be believed! The material is so soft, you don’t need a separate sheet on top, it doubles up as a mattress protector and bottom sheet in one. In fact it is difficult to see how something that feels so luxurious can be so practical!

TENCEL™ Lyocell Fibers are made from 100% biodegradable wood pulp cellulose. The wood used comes from tree farms practicing sustainability and is guaranteed by the European Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) quality seal and the International Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) standards label.

It is as cool as linen, soft as silk and even more absorbent than cotton, making it the perfect waterproof bed sheet. Moisture-wicking TENCEL™ Lyocell Fibers absorb and dry quickly, keeping you comfortable through the night. Without moisture the growth of bacteria is inhibited. Without bacteria, mould and mites similarly find life more difficult. The polyurethane layer also acts as an anti allergy barrier – further protecting against mites which are a major cause of hayfever and asthma. Our protectors will fit mattresses up to 30cm in depth.

Hippychick take a much needed, but also much maligned, product and transform it into a comfortable, soft, undetectable piece of bedding. Our waterproof sheets are soft, breathable, absorbent and waterproof – a great natural alternative to sweaty plastic undersheets. The undetectable layer of polyurethane makes these sheets 100% waterproof without the awful feeling of lying on a crisp packet!

Do they feel / sound plasticky?

Not at all. After years of development, we are extremely proud of our mattress protectors and how they feel, look and “sound” like regular luxurious bed sheets.

What are “TENCEL™ Lyocell Fibers”?

What makes them waterproof?

There is a soft membrane layer of polyurethane which acts as a fully waterproof barrier between the soft, absorbent material and the mattress. Our fitted sheets feel nothing like an average waterproof mattress protector and can happily be used as a bottom sheet.

What depth mattress will the sheet fit?

Our fitted TENCEL™ Lyocell Fibers sheet will fit mattresses up to 30cm deep.

Is the protector breathable?

Yes! The waterproof layer in the middle of the sheet consists of a membrane which quickly repels liquids by ejecting them outwards, meaning the sheet is always dry. At the same time, it allows your body to breathe through the fitted sheet.

Can I tumble dry the sheet?

You can, however it needs to be on a low heat. We recommend you line dry our sheets when possible.

Can I use an electric blanket underneath the sheet?

The use of electric blankets will reduce the lifespan of the mattress protectors so we do not recommend it. High temperatures will dry the PU membrane causing the film to crack.

Please allow us up to 10 days from receipt of item for your refund to be processed. It will often be quicker than this but we want to manage your expectations at busier times of the year.

You may return an item to us for an exchange or refund providing that:

You return the item to us within 28 days of receiving your order
The goods are re-saleable, unused and in their original packaging with all tags and labels intact
If any item is incorrect, faulty or damaged on receipt, please complete the Returns Request form and one of the team will aim to be in contact within 1 working day

We cannot accept your return if:

The returns request form on our website has not been completed and one of our team has not authorised your return.
Your item/s is a piece of clothing that has been laundered in a manner other than the recommended instructions
Your item/s is anything from our bedding protection or Dream Tube range that has had its original packaging opened

Please note that Hippychick Ltd is unable to pay for the cost of returning goods. We cannot accept responsibility for returned items which do not reach us. Therefore, we recommend that you send returns via a tracked service of your choice, retaining your proof of postage. This returns policy is in addition to your Statutory rights.

Preloved Returns

We will only accept returns of preloved items if they are delivered in a condition that was not specified on the original preloved product listing.

This must be reported to us within 48hrs of receipt of the order and then items must be returned to us within 28 days of receiving the order.

Shipping
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item unless pre approved by Hippychick Ltd. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

For UK orders, depending on the weight and size of your order, deliveries are despatched either via Royal Mail or with a courier.
