Hippychick, a toy and gift retailer and distributor based in Bridgwater, Somerset, is delighted to announce its support for Brainwave – a charity that exists to help children with disabilities and additional needs to achieve their maximum potential.
Every year, Hippychick selects a charity partner on which to focus its fundraising efforts. Also based in Bridgwater, and dedicated to the care of young children, Brainwave makes an ideal fit.
Founder and Managing Director of Hippychick, Julia Minchin said: ‘Working with charities is very much part of Hippychick’s culture. We have raised tens of thousands of pounds since we first started the business back in 1999 and hope to be able to raise a significant sum for this incredible charity over the next twelve months. We will invite donations through our website from our generous customers, as well as collaborate on a variety of fundraising events throughout the year.
‘Having had the privilege of undertaking a tour of Brainwave earlier this year, we couldn’t be happier to make them the target of our charity focus for 2023’ continues Julia. ‘We were overwhelmed to see how they support children, transforming their lives, as well as their families, through their amazing therapy programmes. Brainwave has a wonderful team of people who are utterly dedicated to improving quality of life. It’s truly humbling to witness.’
Keith Sinclair, CEO of Brainwave said, ‘We are so pleased that Hippychick have chosen to support us as their charity of the year and are looking forward to working together over the next 12 months. This partnership will help to increase awareness of our charity and enable us to achieve life changing outcomes for more children and families, both locally and across the UK. We feel fortunate to have you walking alongside us on our journey’.
As a business whose foundation lies in sourcing high quality educational toys for young children, Hippychick is also planning to show its support through the donation of toys from the portfolio that can not only be integrated into individual therapy programmes, but can also be made available for use by siblings of children visiting the Centre.
