What is direct dispatch?
Direct dispatch (or drop-shipping) is the term used when customers ask us to send an item directly to their customer from our warehouse.
Why should I use this service?
Direct dispatch allows retailers with existing websites the opportunity to offer their customers a wider range of products, without the risk and extra cost of having to hold stock. It is also a fantastic option if you have limited storage space or if you would prefer to get some sales history on a product before placing an order to hold stock. All we ask is that you place a minimum of £1,000 worth of business with us p.a.
How do I start?
You can look at our products and download images from our website. You then decide which of our products you would like to offer to your customers and add the images to your website. Please read full direct dispatch (drop shipper) terms and conditions.
What happens when I get an order?
When you receive an order from a customer, simply log on to hippychick.com/trade. Go
to ’trade login’, enter your account reference adding -D (hyphen D) at the end, eg 4HIPP6BH-D, then your password (if you haven't already got one, give us a call on 01278 434440 or request a log-in via the website). Then click on ’Make an order’. We will be able to process and despatch your orders much more quickly if they are placed online, particularly at busy periods such as Christmas.
Alternatively, email the details through to us at sales@hippychick.com or fax them to 01278 434448. If the delivery address is outside the UK, email or fax us as the website is only set up for UK addresses
Please ensure that you include:
Recipient’s full name
Full address, including postcode
Contact telephone number for the recipient
Item request, including size/style if appropriate
Gift Wrap Y/N - Add £4.00 per item
If gift wrapped - a card message (max 200 characters)
Delivery requirements - Standard or special requirements

How long does this take?
Orders are usually dispatched on the same or next working day and should arrive within 3-5 days of you placing the order with us. If something is needed at short notice, please request this at time of order so we can supply you with the delivery options available. If an item is out of stock we will inform you by email or telephone.
Can I track the delivery?
Large/heavy items are sent either by DHL or Parcel Force and you will receive a tracking number by email (if requested). Small/light items such as shoes are sent by first class Royal Mail unless we are instructed otherwise. For your own benefit, we recommend Royal Mail Signed For delivery is used, as if an order sent by 1st Class goes missing and needs resending, the cost will be the drop shipperÕs responsibility.
Can all Hippychick products be sent like this?
All the items on the following list are available for dispatch from our warehouse in Bridgwater.
How much will this cost me?
Postage and packaging plus handling. Items marked * do not have a handling fee on the first item. Each subsequent item is £1.00
Recorded Royal Mail is an additional £1.00 charge. Gift wrap is £4.00 per item.
Contact us for deliveries outside the UK, and we will let you know the relevant P&P charge.

What happens if a product arrives damaged or faulty?
We have an ‘open’ returns policy for faulty products, and will endeavour to replace or exchange any items that have become defective within a reasonable period. If you’re not completely satisfied, please tell us about it so that we can put the situation right and do better next time!
How do I pay for using this service?
If you have a credit account, the items will simply be added to your account as with any other Hippychick order.
If you do not yet have credit terms, we would ask that you choose the ‘pay by credit/debit card’ option after placing your order so that we can send the item without delay.
If you would like to apply for a credit account, please mention this when ordering and we will send the relevant forms to you. Please sign these and return them by post (with our Terms & Conditions) and we will apply for references. If successful you will be granted a 30 day credit account.
Returns
If you have any items that need to be returned to us for exchange; replacement; credit; or refund, please email sales@hippychick.com giving full details.
DIRECT DESPATCH – DROPSHIPPING
- 1. TERMS & CONDITIONS
- 1.1 In the following Terms & Conditions, the terms ‘we’, ‘our’ or ‘us’, relate to Hippychick Limited and the terms ‘you’ or ‘your’, relates to any, and all, individuals, companies or organisations trading as, or wishing to trade as drop shipping agents of Hippychick products.
- 1.2.1 These Terms and Conditions shall apply to all drop shipper agreements to the exclusion of all or any other terms or conditions that the buyer may purport to apply under any purchase order, confirmation of order or any similar document.
- 1.2.2 Our acceptance of, and subsequent delivery of any order, even to a third party, shall be deemed conclusive evidence of your acceptance and agreement of these Terms and Conditions.
- 1.2.3 We are able to ship outside of the UK subject to the drop shipper agreeing to meet the additional costs.
- 2. CONSUMER RIGHTS
- 2.1 The statutory rights of the consumer are not affected by the terms of our service.
- 3. CONDITIONS OF BECOMING A HIPPYCHICK DROPSHIPPER
- 3.1 We require drop shippers to attain minimum annual orders total of £1,000. We will review all accounts on an annual basis and reserve the right to terminate drop shippers who do not reach this level of business with us.
- 3.2 You must not sell, offer or promote goods which could, in our opinion, be deemed as being of a sexual or pornographic nature, contain explicit text or images, may set a bad example to young children, depict or allude to alcohol or drugs use or abuse, depict or encourage the use of weapons, violence or what, in our opinion, could be deemed as in bad taste, may damage the reputation of Hippychick or may be in breach of any relevant UK or European legislation.
- 3.3 Drop shipping agreements are only offered where website trading is already operational and have an integral online store.
- 3.4 You will abide with full Data Protection Act 1998 and provide written evidence of that fact via evidence of your Data Protection registration.
- 3.5 Our standard drop shipping consignments are plainly packaged with brown tape. If you have any additional requirements we may be able to accommodate them but any additional costs would be the responsibility of the drop shipper.
- 3.6 We aim to take the majority of drop shipper orders online. The alternative is to send orders via emails, or fax. Questions about products prior to purchase are of course welcome via info@hippychick.com or by telephone to the sales team.
- 3.7 Hippychick can supply a delivery note with every order despatched. If you require your own A4 despatch note, or prefer no paperwork, please let us know.
- 3.8 As part of our environmental policy we aim to send most invoices by email. We prefer not to send any paper copies unless absolutely necessary.
- 3.9 Should you need to contact us for any reason regarding any order we request that you supply the order number. This is the most effective way for us to locate an order and provide you with further information.
- 3.10 We will terminate drop shipping agreements with companies that generate a larger than average ‘reported missing’ orders.
- 3.11 We reserve the right to terminate our drop shipping agreements at any time.
- 4. PRODUCTS
- 4.1 Photographs are for illustrative purposes only and may not exactly match the colour of the product itself. Products may be withdrawn or discontinued and whilst we make every effort to maintain the website and keep our customers informed of any stock issues, we are not liable for any failure or delay in fulfilling an order due out of stock or discontinued products.
- 5. ORDERS
- 5.1 You may not amend or cancel an order once it has been accepted by us, except at our discretion and in exceptional circumstances and if we are able to do this then we reserve the right to levy a £10 administration fee.
- 5.2 Once your order has been dispatched, regardless of circumstances, that order can not be amended or cancelled.
- 6. BACK ORDERS
- 6.1 Expected delivery dates on back-orders may be subject to change due to shipping or manufacturing limitations and we will not be held responsible or any subsequent losses whatever the situation should this occur.
- 7. PRICES
- 7.1 Product prices are subject to change, and although we will endeavour to only increase prices annually, we retain the right to increase prices in exceptional circumstances and will not be held responsible for any loss incurred from any price changes.
- 8. SHIPPING
- 8.1 Orders are subject to a shipping and handling fee. Whilst we send these items first class post, please allow up to 5 working days for delivery.
- 8.2 The standard handling fee is £3.00 for the first item and a subsequent £1.00 for each additional item.
For some items that are under £20.00 RRP we do not charge a handling fee for a single item ordered, subsequent items will have a £1.00 fee applied. Standard Postage is currently £2.95 for small light items. For bulky items such as Wheelybugs the Standard Postage is £5.95.
- 8.3 Specified shipping times are estimates only and whilst we make every effort to achieve these, delivery times do not constitute an integral part of the agreement and we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss, including, but without limitation, economic loss, loss of profits, loss of business, depletion of goodwill and similar losses, costs, damages or expenses caused directly or indirectly by any delay in the delivery of the products, even if caused by our negligence.
- 8.4 If for any reason individuals at the provided delivery address refuse to accept delivery of the product(s), all risk for
these products shall pass to you and we reserve the right to levy a £10 administration fee for return of the products to us, and a redelivery fee to another address nominated by you.
- 8.5 We will take responsibility for resending any missing parcels that have been sent by recorded delivery or parcel force where items can be tracked and Hippychick can make a claim. If sent standard Royal mail, we will send again, but any costs arising from a missing parcel are the responsibility of the drop shipper.
Prior to us resending the parcel you are responsible for:
a) requesting the customer check their address is correct.
b) checking you have given us the correct address.
c) ensuring the customer has checked the parcel is not at their local Royal Mail or courier collection office whether a card has been left or not
- 9. RETURNS & REFUNDS
- 10. VAT
- 10.1 Prices include VAT currently rated at 17.5%, where applicable. VAT rates are subject to Government legislation and prices may therefore change if VAT rates are altered.
These Terms and Conditions are subject to alteration without notice and any variation to these Terms and Conditions by Hippychick shall be allowed.
These Terms and Conditions constitute the Direct Despatch/Drop ship agreement between you and us. You are advised to check regularly the terms and conditions and policy for any updates and/or amendments.
